Signing with EMAIL OTP via Connective eSignatures, how does it work?
Signing documents electronically with an SMS OTP is extremely user-friendly and straightforward. The signing method is one of the available signature methods in Connective eSignatures, our electronic signatures platform.
To be able to sign with this method, the signatory only needs a mobile phone that must be known by the initiating party. If no mobile number has been registered in Connective eSignatures, the SMS OTP signing option will not be available.
A typical scenario may be this:
1. The signatory receives a link that includes a document (or package of documents) that he or she can sign with an SMS OTP
2. After clicking on the link, a signer portal will open automatically where the signatory will need to confirm the last 4 digits of his or her phone number that was known by the initiator
3. The system sends an SMS with an OTP to the signatory´s mobile phone
4. The user types the code in the signing portal & confirms
